OISE

Language trips with OISE in Cambridge, UK

OISE Cambridge has been providing intensive English language coaching to both professionals and academics, since 1990 and welcomes students of any level from the age of 16 years old and above.

Our courses are tailored around the individual student's specific language needs and personal requirements. Intensive Quatorial™ Classes, individually focused 1:1 Tutorial™ Sessions and dynamic Octorial™ Workshop classes are carefully designed to increase both your confidence and overall level of English rapidly, in a short space of time.

In Quatorial™ Classes, lessons are taught in mini groups (maximum 4 students per group) where the teacher is able to give individual attention to each student. The group environment allows close interaction between the students who share the same level of English and profile, allowing for simulated meetings, role plays and discussions to take place.

Our Octorial™ Workshops provide a stimulating environment for lively discussion where students work in a mixed-level workshop of up to 8 students, reflecting real-world situations with a focus on cultural awareness.

During Tutorial™ Sessions students are able to look at their specific language needs with their Tutor, addressing any key areas with a focus on personal learning strategies.

Half-board homestay

Students train to gain experience and learn the necessary language skills at an appropriate level. Teachers
encourage students to reach their full potential and set goals for each student, regularly evaluating their
progress. This motivates learners to surpass their personal expectations and achieve more than they thought
possible.

Staying in a homestay gives participants the chance to be fully immersed into the local culture of the destination, whilst also being able to practise the language in a relaxed and natural setting.

Many homestays have been welcoming our students into their homes for many years, offering their hospitality and expanding our students cultural horizons.
Homestay arrivals are on the Sunday before the course begins, and departures are on the Saturday after the course ends.

Vienna’s English Theatre

Founded in 1963 Vienna’s English Theatre is the oldest and most established English-language theatre in continental Europe. The founders, Austrian Director Franz Schafranek and American actress Ruth Brinkmann, originally intended it as a summer theatre for tourists.

When Ruth Brinkmann lost her 6 year long battle against cancer, Julia Schafranek assumed the mantle and responsibilities of Artistic Executive Director of Vienna’s English Theatre in 1997 where she continues to follow the objective of vital and captivating theatre established by her parents.
