# (B2-C2) Group Courses

- **English Certificate**: Do you want proof of your English skills? An English certificate from the University of Cambridge is recognised worldwide. We will prepare you for your chosen diploma. To prepare, you can choose between a selection of face-to-face and online courses.
- **The best possible preparation**: Our courses take place in small groups with a maximum of 8 students and a native English speaking teacher. You have a fixed course day with 2 to 3 hours of instruction per week. You can also attend our Club Activities, which add an additional 1 to 2 hours per week with our teachers.
- **Learning goal guarantee**: If you do not pass the exam despite completing the course properly, we will give you the opportunity to repeat the course for free. You only have to pay to take the exam again. Regular attendance of the course (at least 80% attendance and at least 80% completed homework) is required.

## Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR)

The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is an international standard for describing language ability. It describes language ability on a six-point scale, from A1 for beginners, up to C2 for those who have mastered a language.

Upon completing Unit 18, you can continue with courses preparing you for Cambridge University’s internationally recognised English diplomas and further develop your language skills up to level C2.

Here you will find our current **preparation courses** **for the Cambridge English Diploma**. However, it is up to you whether you actually take the exam or prefer to 'just' attend the course.

### B2 First

**B2 First (FCE)**

**Accepted by thousands of organisations around the world**, the B2 First (FCE) is a qualification that proves the ability to use written and spoken everyday English both for working and studying purposes.

Our courses are held

- **in** **small groups of a maximum of 8 people**
- **once a week,** always on the **same day** of the week at the **same time**
- **with the same trainer** and the **same fellow students**.

In class and through weekly homework, all language skills (**reading, listening, writing, speaking as well as grammar**) are covered so that by the end of the course you will be able to communicate effectively in written and spoken English about everyday topics as well as in a professional or academic context. You will also be able to respond appropriately to different cultural and social situations.

After the course, you can take the exam at our centre: as an **authorised Cambridge English Exam Centre**, we take care of the registration for you, accompany you through the exam day and are happy to hand out your B2 First certificate to you if you pass.

The Austrian “Zentralmatura” in English is not sufficient for admission to studies.

Our **C1 Legal English** course is a high-level English language course for law students and practising lawyers who want to work in an international legal setting. This qualifciation can help you find a job in an international commercial law context or study law in English in your own country or abroad.

### Masterclass in Advanced English Communication

The **Masterclass in Advanced English Communication** (MCAEC) offers the opportunity to practise English communication skills at the highest levels (C1/C2).

During the course the student will be provided with material and activities to build on their present knowledge. This will enable them to improve their English skills and vocabulary in general and specific areas guided by native speaker teachers.

The main focus of this course is to **improve fluency in speaking**, **feeling more secure and relaxed when debating and increasing active vocabulary**. Through the use of role play and group activities the student will increase his/her advanced skills and vocabulary in a wide range of current topics.
